Information & Advice
We provide information on what services exist locally and nationally services that provide information & support for carers and people with disabilities. Many carers we meet are surprised at how many organisations and information sources exist. We can give you advice as to what is appropriate to your needs, details on how to access them or, if appropriate, make a referral to them on your behalf.Becoming a carer does not come with a comprehensive handbook like a yellow pages - unfortunately! Becoming a carer does, however, come with considerable demands on your time leaving little free time to spend searching for possible sources of support. As such, we feel it is very beneficial for carers to have a port of call where information can be found easily.
When you are caring for someone it can be overwhelming and it can really help to have someone else to guide you to exactly what you need. We have direct contact with many national and local agencies that will be able to offer specialist support, our specialist trained team can offer you a support service that is tailor made to suit you, wherever you are on your journey as a carer.
